The Role: As a Senior Design Release Engineer specializing in Outsourced Brake Controls Software, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and integration of complex software systems for automotive brake controls. This position requires a customer-focused, results-oriented individual who can effectively lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful release. What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Lead the design, development, and integration activities for outsourced brake control software, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, development teams, and validation engineers, to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration. Manage and execute engineering release processes utilizing Engineering Release Systems, including documentation, configuration management, and issue tracking. Apply Group Problem Solving techniques to identify and resolve complex technical challenges throughout the software development lifecycle. Manage software validation plans for your assigned program. Issue part saleable status based on successful completion of all required testing Support controller warranty analysis, issue resolution, parts restriction, and report updates as required to team leadership. Act as a technical lead for cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment and driving accountability for project deliverables. Ensure all software releases meet General Motors' stringent safety, performance, and quality standards.
