The Senior DC Buyer Planner is responsible for material planning, managing the customer orders, inventory management, Sourcing and Supplier management, Cross functional collaboration and troubleshooting planning delays This position reports to the PSI Team Lead and is part of the Supply Chain & Logistics >>Materials/Planning located in Indianapolis and will be an on-site role to cover Majorly North America and extend to Global regions . In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Supply Planning & Inventory : Lead end-to-end supply and inventory planning by partnering with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to balance capacity, demand, and inventory. Ensure timely replenishment, reduce past-due orders, and improve on-time delivery (OTD) while minimizing excess and obsolete stock replenishment to minimize excess stock and improve customer delivery (OTD), reduce past due. PSI (Production, Sales & Inventory) Management : Drive the PSI process by reviewing forecast accuracy, identifying gaps between demand, supply, and inventory, and leading corrective actions. Partner cross-functionally to improve service, cost, and overall operational performance. Demand Planning : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and customer insights. Continuously monitor and refine these forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives. Data Analysis and Continuous Improvement : Use analytics (Min/Max, OTD, past due, ITO) to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities. Lead process improvements, standard work, and automation initiatives to strengthen planning rigor and execution. Collaboration and Communication : Serve as a key integrator across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain. Drive alignment through clear communication, structured reviews, and proactive issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years / master’s degree with 3+ years / Doctoral degree 2+ years' experience with Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales and operations planning, demand forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, statistical analysis software).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders

  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and scrap.
