Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems has a 30-year history of supporting the USSTRATCOM Nuclear Mission with innovative mission software solutions. This role involves joining our USSTRATCOM software teams to develop Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities for the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) within a DevSecOps environment. The successful candidate will contribute to creating modern Web-based, Java mission systems for the Nuclear community, requiring experience with software systems built to exacting standards and delivered using a DevSecOps cadence and Agile Scrum. We are seeking a full-time Data Engineer to help understand the USSTRATCOM data environment, provide containerized databases, coordinate data activities, collaborate on data structures, and assist AI/ML engineers with data access, ultimately delivering capabilities for the Intelligence, Nuclear Planning, and Command and Control communities.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position will require a government security clearance
  • Experience with using Oracle databases (such as 11g, 12c, 19c, 21c)
  • Experience working and scripting in a Linux environment
  • Modeling database tables for data storage in support of Application Developers
  • Experience with Database development, creating tables and stored procedures
  • Experience with Writing SQL statements in PL/SQL, managing DDL / DML scripts

Nice To Haves

  • USSTRATCOM mission insight (Intel, Planning, or C2)
  • Experience coding with Relational Database Access / SQL / JPA / Hibernate
  • Engineering experience with AFNWC SMPES, MPAS, NPES Systems
  • Experience with the USSTRATCOM Enterprise Database (EDB)

Responsibilities

  • Help developers and architects understand the USSTRATCOM data environment
  • Provide containerized databases (relational and other) that support development activities
  • Coordinate data loads and scripts
  • Collaborate with USSTRATCOM data modelers on new data structures
  • Assist AI / ML engineers with identifying and accessing data
  • Help deliver capabilities for the Intelligence, Nuclear Planning, and Command and Control communities
