About The Position

Data Analytics is responsible for applying business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives. This role specifically supports Medical supply chain and logistics businesses by developing, managing, and maintaining data-driven tools and actionable insights. The Senior Data Analyst will work across the supply chain with different levels of the organization, gathering requirements, communicating project plans, and delivering trusted actionable results in a clear and concise manner. The role also involves creating and managing existing tools, such as scorecards and dashboards, and continuously seeking ways to enhance or improve their speed, process flow, functionality, and overall value. Key aspects of the position include leveraging business and data knowledge to identify and address problems or opportunities, translating business needs into reporting solutions (metric management, dashboards, enterprise performance management), and applying data visualization, descriptive, and summary statistical techniques for data exploration, ad-hoc queries, and analysis. The analyst will interpret results, identify trends and issues (forecasting), and develop alternatives to support business objectives, while effectively communicating complex findings and recommendations to influence action. At this level, the individual is expected to apply advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects, participate in policy and procedure development, recommend new practices, processes, metrics, or models, and potentially lead complex projects of significant scope and long-term impact. They will independently determine methods for new projects, receive guidance on overall project objectives, and act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years' experience in related field
  • Experience with data query, visualization, dashboard and/or scorecard tools
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, SAP, GCP/Big Query, and Python/R
  • Operations/Supply Chain experience

Responsibilities

  • Apply business process knowledge and data analytics to develop, recommend and communicate timely, accurate, relevant, and actionable insights to support business decisions and objectives.
  • Support Medical supply chain and logistics businesses by developing, managing, and maintaining data-driven tools and actionable insights.
  • Work across the supply chain with different levels of the organization, gathering requirements, communicating project plan, and delivering trusted actionable results in a clear and concise manner.
  • Create and manage existing tools, such as scorecards and dashboards, and look for ways to enhance or improve upon speed, process flow, functionality, and overall value.
  • Use knowledge of business and data to discover and/or anticipate problems or opportunities where data can be leveraged to address the need.
  • Ask probing questions to translate business needs in order to build and design reporting solutions (metric management, dashboards, enterprise performance management).
  • Apply data visualization, descriptive and summary statistical techniques for discovery and timely insights (data exploration, ad-hoc queries, and analysis).
  • Interpret results of analyses, identify trends and issues (forecasting), and develop alternatives to support business objectives.
  • Apply data aggregation, descriptive analysis and data presentation techniques and tools to communicate complex findings and recommendations to influence others to take action.
  • Demonstrate ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex information to a variety of audiences and mediums.
  • Apply advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals.
  • Recommend new practices, processes, metrics, or models.
  • Work on or may lead complex projects of large scope.
  • Provide solutions which may set precedent.
  • Independently determine method for completion of new projects.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues.
