When you step into a career with AT&T, you won’t just imagine the future-you’ll create it. We are looking for a motivated Mobile Device Security Engineer to join our Endpoint Security team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the IT Mobile Device Management (MDM) team to help design, test, and deploy mobile security configurations for a large enterprise fleet of over 100,000 devices. You’ll focus on implementing secure, effective, and user-friendly solutions tailored to different employee groups while helping manage our business mobile app store and evaluating new mobile applications for security and policy compliance. What to Expect: Assist in the deployment and configuration of mobile security policies using MDM platforms (such as Intune, Workspace ONE, MobileIron, or similar) for iOS and Android devices. Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand user needs for various roles (e.g., office staff, field workers, remote employees) and help implement security controls that support productivity and usability. Help develop, test, and roll out secure baseline device configurations and compliance rules across different user personas. Support the management of the internal mobile app store, ensuring only approved apps are available to users. Participate in reviewing and assessing mobile app submissions for the enterprise app store, focusing on security and compliance standards. Work with the security team to monitor, investigate, and respond to potential mobile device security incidents. Maintain up-to-date documentation for mobile security procedures and user guides. Help troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mobile security policies, app deployments, and device compliance. Stay informed on mobile security trends, new threats, and best practices in enterprise mobility.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in mobile device security, MDM administration, or enterprise mobility support.
  • Practical experience with at least one major MDM platform for policy deployment and management.
  • Working knowledge of iOS and Android security features and mobile device hardening basics.
  • Exposure to managing or supporting an enterprise or business app store, including familiarity with app approval processes.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Basic troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving mobile device and security issues.
  • Awareness of user experience considerations and balancing security with usability for different employee groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting mobile devices in a large enterprise environment (10,000+ devices).
  • Familiarity with enterprise app security reviews or mobile app permission models.
  • Knowledge of compliance or regulatory standards for mobile devices (such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst, or vendor-specific MDM certifications.
