About The Position

The Senior Credit Manager will oversee the Credit Risk Management (CRM) department, ensuring the company's credit policies and procedures are adhered to. This role involves managing the credit assessment process, mitigating credit risk, and optimizing the company's credit portfolio. Additionally, this role will assist with the development and execution of the CRM department strategy. The Treasury and CRM Leadership Team will be responsible for driving the strategic initiatives of the department with a focus on being consultative business partners for our divisional leadership. This position will be located onsite in Appleton, WI. Relocation can be provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in credit management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in credit analysis software and financial modeling.
  • Effective communication and people skills, demonstrating the ability to influence senior leaders and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure effective credit risk management.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce the CRM internal controls framework.
  • Review and approve credit recommendations of new and existing customers within authority levels, lead collateral and deal structure negotiations.
  • Monitor and manage the company's credit portfolio to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and support.
  • Contribute to the CRM strategic plan and lead at least one strategic initiative.
  • Provide communication and collaboration regarding credit concerns and solutions to division and other functional leaders.
  • Prepare executive level reporting on credit performance, trends, and risks.
  • Own responsibility of CRM budget and department reporting.
  • Analyze and lead the development of proactive credit viewpoints for potential industry impacts and regulatory changes.
