About The Position

This position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing problem-solving court data initiatives; supervising staff; and managing contracts. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the Florida Drug Court Case Management System (FDCCMS) and managing the OSCA FDCCMS vendor contract; overseeing problem-solving court data reporting requirements and other data initiatives; and responding to data and information requests. Additional responsibilities include providing oversight of the Data Advisory Group; providing staff support to the Problem-Solving Court Advisory Group and other governance groups; drafting correspondence, reports, and procurement documents; and providing technical assistance to problem-solving courts. Close working relationships are established with high-level policy makers and officials in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government. This position is a mid-level management position and must be able to work independently with a great deal of discretion. Responsibilities include supervising one court statistics consultant and two senior court analyst II positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, court/judicial administration, court/judicial management, business management, legal studies, or a closely related field.
  • Six years of related work experience, including two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise professional staff, including assigning and reviewing work, conducting performance planning and evaluations, approving leave, and supporting staff development.
  • Ability to review, approve, and process invoices in accordance with contractual terms.
  • Strong vendor relationship management and professional communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of court or justice system data systems preferred.
  • Experience overseeing enterprise-level case management systems, including system enhancements and ongoing maintenance.
  • Experience supporting advisory committees, governance groups, or data advisory bodies.
  • Ability to coordinate meetings, prepare materials, track action items, and support policy discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the OSCA FDCCMS vendor contract to include monitoring compliance of deliverables; approving and processing invoices; overseeing and maintaining the FDCCMS budget; initiating contract renewals, extensions, and amendments; and regularly communicating with the vendor.
  • Oversee problem-solving court data reporting requirements and other data initiatives and respond to data and information requests.
  • Oversee the FDCCMS, including system enhancements, training initiatives, and other related tasks.
  • Supervise one court statistics consultant and two senior court analyst II positions, including assigning and reviewing work; approving timesheets; conducting performance planning and reviews; and approving leave.
  • Provide technical assistance to operational and planned problem-solving courts.
