As a Senior Controls Engineer – Data Center, you will lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge automation systems, focusing on SCADA and control systems for mission-critical data center environments. This role provides the opportunity to grow your expertise in a supportive environment that values innovation and collaboration. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A proven track record in control systems engineering, with 7+ years experience in system integration work in mission-critical data center environments.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing PLC, DDC, SCADA, and other related control systems in the context of BMS and EPMS systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial control panel design (UL508A), instrumentation and controls, and engineering documentation such as P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and SOO development.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel for project needs, training, and industry events.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Developing automation solutions, including design specifications, software configuration, testing, startup and commissioning of data center EPMS and BMS facility support systems.
  • Designing automation control systems, creating technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex automation problems.
  • Programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Rockwell), DDCs (e.g., Distech, Niagara) and SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk).
  • Managing project deliverables, timelines, and budgets while coordinating with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Supporting system start-ups, site installations, and integration activities.
