This role requires extensive experience in automation technologies, industrial communication protocols, and robotic integration, along with strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills. The position also involves mentoring engineers, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across control system processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial automation and controls engineering.
  • Proven expertise in PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal preferred).
  • Strong experience with HMI/SCADA development (Ignition, FactoryTalk View, WinCC preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with robotic programming and integration (FANUC, ABB preferred).
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with various industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for commissioning and support as required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of industrial control systems, including PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.), HMI/SCADA development, and motion control.
  • Create and review detailed electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and bill of materials.
  • Perform system commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization at customer sites.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, manufacturing, and project management, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including functional specifications, test plans, and operation manuals.
  • Ensure all designs and implementations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and technical reviews.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for control systems and processes.
