About The Position

itD is seeking a Senior Content Designer, Email Strategy to lead the evolution of a high-impact B2C lifecycle email program supporting Wearables Growth. This role will drive content strategy, experimentation, and governance for awareness, retention, and resurrection efforts—building a scalable, user-centered email system that delivers measurable growth across devices and product lines. The ideal candidate brings deep lifecycle/CRM expertise and a proven track record of optimizing high-scale email programs through experimentation, structured playbooks, and cross-functional execution.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading B2C lifecycle email/CRM programs at scale (awareness → retention → winback).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and content design skills focused on conversion and clarity.
  • Strong lifecycle strategy expertise (segmentation, journey design, triggers, suppression logic, cadence planning).
  • Proven experience running hypothesis-driven experimentation programs with documented readouts.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy into technical specifications and QA requirements.
  • Proficiency in Figma for content structure, module development, and design collaboration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing governance frameworks and scalable messaging playbooks.
  • Familiarity with incremental measurement methodologies (holdouts, lift analysis, novelty effect evaluation).
  • Experience supporting consumer hardware ecosystems or multi-device communication strategies.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and localization best practices in email design.
  • Understanding of email deliverability principles (reputation management, frequency discipline, spam/unsubscribe guardrails, sunset policies).

Responsibilities

  • Lead lifecycle email optimization across awareness, retention, and resurrection journeys, improving targeting, sequencing, cadence, and content performance.
  • Design and execute 5–6 structured experiments (positioning, personalization, segmentation, cadence, creative systems), defining hypotheses, success metrics, and guardrails.
  • Improve modular email systems (subject lines, preheaders, body frameworks, CTA patterns) to increase iteration speed, scalability, and quality.
  • Develop and formalize a Wearables Growth Email Playbook, including lifecycle principles, experimentation standards, decision frameworks, QA checklists, and measurement guidelines.
  • Draft governance guardrails for targeting logic, suppression rules, frequency caps, quality standards, and approval workflows.
  • Reassess onboarding lifecycle strategy, evaluating effectiveness and recommending redesign, consolidation, or deprecation based on performance insights.
  • Translate lifecycle strategy into clear, build-ready requirements for Engineering, including trigger definitions, audience segmentation, dynamic content logic, fallbacks, and QA cases.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Legal/Privacy, and Design to align messaging strategy with business and technical constraints.
  • Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
  • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
  • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
