Summary: In this role, you will drive value by leveraging diverse data sets and resources to identify cost-savings and revenue-generating opportunities for leading healthcare systems across a national client network, with a focus on Vizient’s contract portfolio. You will partner with cross-functional internal teams to strategize, present, and implement opportunities with health system leaders. You will develop deep expertise in key metrics and value levers across a broad range of healthcare services to provide effective, data-driven consultation. You will also support the ongoing monitoring and sustainability of implemented contracts through periodic audits and supplier discussions in collaboration with other Vizient resources.

Requirements

  • Relevant, advanced degree (MBA or MHA) preferred.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Knowledge of and experience in Indirect Spend required, including contracting, sales, healthcare consulting, implementation, hospital management, and/or hospital operations.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret data, contracts, and reports to develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage C-suite and executive-level client audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the services and offerings within the Vizient Indirect Spend portfolio.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value savings and revenue growth opportunities with a focus on implementation of recommendations.
  • Utilize internal experts and resources to tailor clear, compelling, and informative messaging.
  • Plan and manage identified opportunities across multiple healthcare systems within an assigned region, including prioritization, timing, scope, and resource allocation.
  • Collect and analyze detailed healthcare system data, including contracts and invoices, to validate and quantify opportunities.
  • Present business cases to client stakeholders and senior executives using clear, data-driven narratives.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships at all levels, including senior leadership and C-suite.
  • Support the ongoing monitoring and sustainability of implemented contracts through periodic audits and supplier discussions in collaboration with other Vizient resources.
