About The Position

As the Senior Compensation Analyst, you will provide analytical consultation for the development and execution of UAW Local 2110 compensation programs and projects to ensure competitive and motivating compensation for The Met. You will work closely with all members of the HR team and various levels of management to ensure compliance to the UAW Local 2110 compensation program guidelines and goals. You will provide support to various compensation related initiatives and help foster a culture of continuous improvement to the compensation practices at The Met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or in a related field
  • 4 years of experience administering union compensation programs
  • Demonstrated understanding of collective bargaining agreements and compensation compliance
  • Experience managing salary survey submissions and ad hoc survey participation
  • Experience with Workday as system of record; Workday Advanced Compensation module experience preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local compensation and employment laws
  • Knowledge of standard policies, practices and procedures within the Human Resources field
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects/deadlines
  • Ability to present and organize information so that it is appropriate for senior leadership and Board
  • Strong and effective creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, reporting skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (i.e., creating Pivots, Vlookup.)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the UAW Local 2110 compensation program partnering with stakeholders across the museum to ensure compliance, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Provide analysis and insights to HR and Management into The Met’s compensation program with specific focus on UAW Local 2110 contract guidelines on promotions, increases, and other mandatory processes.
  • Consult and provide guidance to HR and hiring managers across various functions to ensure salary negotiations and offers are competitive and compliant with The Met’s compensation programs.
  • Work with hiring managers and HR to craft, update, and streamline job descriptions that are accurate and engaging.
  • Evaluate and benchmark positions to The Met’s job architecture to assess job classifications and determine salary ranges.
  • Assist Manager of Compensation in developing enhanced compensation processes in Workday, leveraging automation and workflow improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing compensation.
  • Assist in the development, communication and maintenance of museum-wide compensation plans, policies and procedures
  • Act as a backup for DC 37 Local 1503 compensation transactions on an as needed basis
  • Support the Manager of Compensation in the Annual Merit Increase Program.
  • Assist in preparation of various compensation Committee & Board Meetings presentations
  • Independently oversee ad hoc projects
  • Other duties as assigned
