Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Senior Communications Lead to support an innovative program. In this role, you will lead and deliver high-impact communication efforts for U.S. Government customers, enabling mission success across the defense and space domains. You will translate complex technical and analytical information into compelling, audience-focused communication products while partnering closely with senior government and industry leadership. You are passionate about space, technology, and communication, and you bring a blend of DoD, consulting, and analytical experience. You thrive in fast-paced environments, influence peers and stakeholders, and are comfortable engaging with senior leaders across government and the private sector. Work Location: Onsite : Chantilly, VA Travel: domestic travel less than 10% Clearance: Active TS/SCI required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, in Communication, Marketing, Psychology, Political Science, or other social science fields. Relevant military or prior government experience may be considered in lieu of a four-year degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing and mentoring teams of analysts, researchers, or similar professionals.
  • Extensive experience working with DoD or Federal Government clients, including senior-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives, government officials, media representatives, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Proven experience applying theoretical frameworks to analyze communication challenges, design interventions, and measure impact.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with a track record of data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage large-scale initiatives and ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to engage with complex, highly technical subject matter.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience working in and with the U.S. Department of Defense (uniformed military, civilian DoD, or direct industry support).
  • Demonstrated professional experience in the space and/or defense domain (space operations, satellite technology).
  • Knowledge of PPBE, Congressional processes, legislation, policies, regulations, and acquisition-related communication artifacts (R-Docs, acquisition strategies, GAO and IG reports).
  • PMP certification and/or advanced degree in Program or Project Management.
  • Established professional network within DoD, space, or national security communities.
