About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior COBOL Developer with strong expertise in mainframe technologies and government taxation systems . This role involves the design, development, maintenance, and support of complex tax accounting applications in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years (84 months) of experience with a Government Taxation organization , including: Technical design, development, maintenance, and support of tax systems
• 7+ years of COBOL programming in an IBM Mainframe environment
• 3+ years (36 months) experience with IBM DB2 for LUW , including: Working with large databases (1TB+) Use of XQuery
• 7+ years of experience with: IDMS & DMLO CICS (Customer Information Control System) IBM DB2 for z/OS (complex database structures) IBM MQ Series MVS / JCL TSO (Time Sharing Option)
• 7+ years of experience in: Application performance analysis and tuning

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in large government or public sector environments
• Strong understanding of legacy system modernization
• Ability to work independently on complex system enhancements
