PURPOSE According to the prescribed policies and procedures including all applicable federal, state and local regulations, works with the in-house legal, procurement, and insurance teams. Responsible for property and general liability claims management and litigation support within commercial E&S insurance market and a captive insurance company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsible for managing and overseeing high-value property and general liability claims, including coordination with TPAs, insurers, lenders, contractors, and internal cross-function partners for the settlement of claims. Provide litigation support and coordination with external counsel. Responsible for identifying need for litigation holds and drafting, implementation and coordination for all litigation holds and discovery. Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, insurance policies and internal policies. Responsible for analysis and tracking of claim-related costs including physical restoration and replacement costs, litigation budgets, audit responses, and associated data requests. Create reports related to insurance claims and related litigation. Supports strategic risk management initiatives across the enterprise and those specifically related to our captive insurance program. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring quality of documents being created and saved in our enterprise content management system. Reports all complaints made by residents/clients and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/resident property and/or any other corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state and local regulations and laws. Completes all annual education requirements timely, including but not limited to Compliance, Privacy, Security and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
