We’re looking for a Senior Change Consultant who’s not just experienced but energized by the opportunity to help shape the future of patient care. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role reporting to the Director of Business Transformation and Change Management. The consultant will be responsible for driving adoption, inspiring stakeholders, and embedding lasting change and AI initiatives across a complex, regulated healthcare environment. Too often, patients forego or cannot complete prescribed therapy due to complicated qualification processes, unmanageable costs, or uncertainty about their medications. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, or related field, preferred.
  • Strong consulting skills, executive presence and communication, analysis, data gathering, cross-functional and collaborative, and organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Teams Premium AI, Copilot) proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task, context switch, work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, while delivering quality results within aggressive timeframes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Must work in Central or Eastern Time Zone business hours.
  • 8+ years of experience in change management, transformation experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience with AI initiatives, AI literacy programs (Copilot, GenAI).
  • Prosci and CCMP certification
  • Deep understanding and application of Change Management methodology end-to-end from strategy and planning to change impact analysis, communications plans and messaging, stakeholder analysis and engagement, readiness assessments, training and facilitation, change reporting and metrics, and reinforcement and sustainability.
  • Comfortable and highly proficient delivering workshops and courses for individual contributors to mid-level leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certifications in digital/AI transformation, AI essentials, coaching, training facilitation, Lean Six Sigma, Organizational Development (ODCP), CPMAI will make a candidate stand out from the pack.
  • Experience managing change for AI-driven solutions in healthcare settings preferred but not required.
  • Solid understanding of patient services, hubs, PBMs, payors or pharmacy operations will differentiate you from other candidates.
  • Experience within the specialty pharma ecosystem, with experience in Payors, PBMs, Specialty Hubs, Patient Services, Patient Assistance Programs, Medicaid, and Pharmacy Operations preferred.
  • Previous projects with CRM platforms like Salesforce, patient support technologies, or specialty pharmacy systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of product, Agile methodologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Change project planning: Design and execute change strategies and plans that support assigned digital/AI changes within the Director’s business transformation portfolio across patient services, COEs, commercial technology, and pharmacy operations.
  • Analysis: Conduct impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, build change personas, and conduct readiness evaluations to guide successful change project implementations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships across Patient Access, Case Management, Specialty Hubs, Pharmacy Operations, IT, and executive leadership. Perform stakeholder analysis for key change/AI initiatives to build engagement and reduce blockers and resistance to change.
  • Workshops: Partner with Director to facilitate dynamic workshops to elevate organizational change capability and leadership transformation readiness to scale a rapidly growing business.
  • Communications: Design communication strategies, plans, compelling messaging for assigned change/AI projects (infographics, Veeva Engage posts, slides, manager huddle scripts) tailored to diverse audiences—from frontline to leaders. Graphic/creative skills are highly valued but not required.
  • AI Initiatives: Champion and manage change for assigned AI initiatives; includes partnering with the Product team, Technology teams, PMO, L&D, Pharmacy, COEs, and Operations and managing barriers to change and AI adoption
  • Adoption Metrics: Monitor change project metrics, create surveys, feedback loops, and assess performance indicators to ensure long-term success for assigned initiatives within the Director-managed business and AI transformation portfolio. Gather reporting, surveys, analytics to help director assess organizational resistance/readiness for AI.
  • Value Management: Assist the Director with implementing a benefits realization methodology and toolset to ensure that individual changes, AI use cases, and larger transformation programs realize ROI and expected benefits.
  • Transformation Initiatives: Support specific changes within the overall transformation roadmap to scale the business, drive organizational and culture change, and implement automation and robotics.
  • AI Readiness & Adoption: Provide additional support for large-scale rollout of established AI literacy programs for leadership and GenAI (Copilot/Teams AI).
  • Risk Management: Identify change risks and lead proactive mitigation strategies to reduce resistance, and AI adoption challenges for assigned projects.
  • Culture and Organizational Development: Contribute to Transformation Office and L&D efforts to strengthen and maintain our amazing culture by supporting onboarding programs, Voice of the Employee (VOE) engagement programs, leader development, and other culture change initiatives that reinforce the Cardinal Health values and prepare the organization for rapid growth and scalability.
  • Strategic Thought Partner: Work collaboratively with Director to continuously advance the maturity of Transformation and Change office. Contribute to methodologies, frameworks, and tools that drive operational excellence, accelerate digital and AI transformation, and enable sustained execution across the organization.
