About The Position

The Senior Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving catering revenue through the strategic sale and execution of high-end events, including weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, and VIP experiences. This role requires a results-driven sales professional with a strong network, exceptional client service skills, and experience in luxury hospitality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 + years of catering or event sales experience, preferably in luxury hotels or resorts
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience with CRM and sales systems (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Luxury service mindset and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High emotional intelligence and client-focused approach
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit new catering business through prospecting, networking, and relationship building
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for weddings, corporate events, and social functions
  • Maximize revenue through premium food, beverage, and event enhancements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients and event planners
  • Build long-term relationships with repeat and VIP clientele
  • Conduct site tours and present customized event proposals
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure all client expectations are clearly outlined and met
  • All bookings will be turned over to the Event Services team for execution upon signature and method of payment establishment.
  • Mentor and guide junior sales managers or coordinators
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing on strategy and forecasting
  • Participate in revenue meetings and contribute to budgeting and forecasting
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and local market conditions
  • Represent the resort at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions
