About The Position

The Senior Catering Sales Manager primary role is to generate new catering business and convert inbound catering leads/inquiries to confirmed bookings and exceed revenue goals as assigned, in addition to conducting planning visits, detailing, and servicing responsibilities for catered events. Essential Functions: Understands all details pertaining to the catering events and manages event requests with and without guestroom block needs. This includes identifying potential business, solicitation, and upselling menus, room types and ancillary revenues whenever possible. Replies to inquiries/leads for catered events and any other markets as assigned. Track all lead and call production in Delphi FDC and ensure weekly/monthly activity goals are met. Supervisory management and continual training of Catering Sales Manager. Close business on the best opportunities for the GGRC based on market conditions and executes approved contracts with clients within the contract signing due dates. Finalizes all details of catering and event functions within market or as assigned by Director of Sales + Marketing (DOSM) Leads weekly BEO meetings and Resume Meetings Review and understand all catering sales revenue and operation budgets and provide forecasting reports to DOSM Maintains client timeline for contracts, BEOs, payment schedule, attendance counts, etc. ensuring Accounting has taken deposits/all payments in advance of all events. Prepares and checks all BEOs, catering function sheets or other relevant forms as they arise. Ensure appropriate departments receive any changes in a timely manner. Inspects function room prior to start of function for correct set up. Attends function periodically as a supervisory check. Greets all directly booked clients as they arrive at the property, and/or as needed. Serve as guest contact during the event when needed. Conducts daily client tours, tastings and detailing events as needed. This includes weekends when accommodating the client's schedule. Ensures the Group billing is correct as developed by Accounting and approved before sent to client by Accounting Dept. Participates in weekly sales meetings and other meetings to communicate the upcoming event needs. Establishes relationships with area event vendors, competitive and non-competitive hotels and event venues and the respective managers at these locations. Work alongside Executive Chef and Foord & Beverage Director to develop menus for the catering market, as well as offering recommendations of new event packages and revenue strategy to grow assigned market segments Make connections through industry sector by joining focused meetings to enhance and develop wedding sales experience and relationships, as well as expand product knowledge and sales efficiencies. Designing room layouts with diagram software provided by company. Interacts effectively with sales, kitchen, vendors, competitors, catering associations to ensure guest satisfaction. Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points. Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete. Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains post-event files and submits all ensures invoices, receipts and closing inventories copies are maintained and records actual final guest count and revenues in Delphi. Maintains complete and in-depth files on all future and past events and private parties as directed by departmental standards. Attend training as assigned. Practices and observes safety rules and regulations and encourage other to do the same. Timely participates in morning stand up, weekly operations meetings and staff meetings. Greet every guest, member, and team member with "I Am Proud" standards and set a positive tone for every interaction. Provide extraordinary service that is "Enriching by Nature." Requirements

  • 3-5 Years Delphi Classic, Delphi FDC, Opera Sales & Catering or similar sales & catering software
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays- all days of the week
  • Ability to attend client meetings and industry tradeshows as required
  • Associates Degree in Events Planning and/or minimum 5 Years in senior leadership in Catering sales roles
  • Valid Driver's License

  • Food Protection Manager Certification: Colorado Food Handler and/or Alcohol Server Certifications (or equivalent) preferred
  • First-Aid / CPR / AED Certification preferred
