We are seeking an energetic, relationship‑focused Senior Catering Director to serve as the #2 leader of a high‑volume catering operation at Binghamton University, overseeing approximately $2.2 million in annual catering business.  This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality‑driven leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service, high‑quality food experiences, and strong client partnerships.   What You’ll DoAs the Senior Catering Director, you will oversee all aspects of the catering department, including internal and external events. You’ll work closely with campus partners, lead a talented catering team, and ensure every event reflects the excellence and innovation Chartwells is known for.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of foodservice management experience.
  • Catering experience required.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high‑volume environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and develop catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, and exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee and monitor labor and food costs for each event to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients and campus partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chef to develop creative, high‑quality menus.
