We invite you to start your career journey with us and look forward to hearing from you. Job SummaryAs the District Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for an assigned foodservice operation with revenue greater than $40M, leading campus marketing strategy and promotions, assisting with client relations, merchandising, digital marketing, and student engagement programs to contribute to guest satisfaction and driving revenue at the campus of Binghamton University. This position requires a creative individual with knowledge of Millennial and Generation Z marketing tactics to drive engagement with the campus dining program. This position is bonus eligible, will lead a team of one Sr. Marketing Manager, and will report to the Chartwells campus Vice President of Operations.

Requirements

  • Interpersonal skills to influence without direct authority, ensuring high standards and accountability across the field
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of addressing content with various collaborators, from regional support levels to field and front-line associates
  • Diligent with strong writing skills to craft and maintain brand materials and voice
  • Basic understanding of financial components in contract food service, including revenue, margin, costs, and risks

Nice To Haves

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Culinary, Hospitality, or Hotel Management preferred
  • Minimum of three years of marketing management experience, with a preference for contract foodservice experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead units in completing marketing promotions, voluntary meal plan campaigns, and catering and retail sales drivers
  • Ensure adherence to Chartwells’ residential, retail, and catering brand standards, including brand identity, visual merchandising, and guest experience platforms
  • Collaborate with campus communities to improve partnerships and support awareness of dining programs, including sustainability, nutritional and dietary awareness, and the residential dining experience
  • Coordinate the execution of events and guest feedback programs
  • Develop marketing collateral and communication pieces, such as brochures, newsletters, programming announcements, and promotional guides
  • Support new business and retention efforts through guest feedback, proposal development, and presentations
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sector marketing and innovation initiatives
