About The Position

We’ve got an unbridled appetite for making a difference.   Chobani’s Sr. Category Development Managers work with category, consumer, and shopper insights data to create a clear direction for the category that aligns customer and Chobani strategies. As a key member of the sales team, this role helps drive company sales and profits and to gaining advantage over competitors by driving strategic insights and valuable tools/programs to drive increased performance for designated brands at retail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years consumer packaged goods category management experience
  • Strong and proven leadership skills
  • Strong cross-functional exposure / experience
  • Highly customer focused with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance multiple projects at once
  • Proficient with reporting systems: Shopper Card data systems, IRI, Nielsen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

  • With the Chobani Emerging-Natural/Ecomm Team, play a key role in focusing on Whole Foods, Sprouts and Amazon Fresh (coverage list subject to change)
  • Develops long-term strategies at the Department level alongside Natural Category Managers
  • Shares ongoing, category-wide performance with internal and external partners to deliver action-based takeaways
  • Works with cross-functional partners to develop strong sales and marketing plans and understand impact and performance of each
  • Support to post promotional analysis to improve and brainstorm future activations
  • Create insights-based support stories to aid Sales team counterparts in the sell-in process
  • Improve efficiency and usability of existing tools to aid in the speed to insight for key collaborators
  • Analyze ongoing trends in the Natural/Ecomm Grocery business to find opportunities as well as take corrective action where needed
  • Provide necessary summaries and important trend updates to key internal partners
  • Complete other tasks as necessary
