Overview: The E-Commerce Developer will join a fast paced team supporting SCHEELS.com by creating and maintaining internal web-based applications. This associate will work closely with all areas of the E-Commerce team to ensure requirements and that systems are implemented seamlessly. This position requires in-office attendance at our Fargo, ND Campus location, and is not eligible for remote work.

  • The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Nice To Haves

  • Preference for candidates with demonstrated proficiency in PHP, Node.js, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • Experience with agile/scrum methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain core business web applications
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot daily operations, programs and system problems
  • A strong understanding of programming concepts and ability to adapt to multiple programming languages
  • Execute project plans to complete the task on time, and revise as appropriate to meet changing requirements
  • Design, create and document API calls to integrate with internal and external systems
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written / verbal)
  • Ability to be organized, detailed, and multi-task
  • Strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement
