About The Position

Person in this position will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day functions of the STOP Program. This role involves supervision of the case management of a large caseload of participants released from prison substance abuse programs, auditing all active participant files to ensure they are complete according to WestCare guidelines, and coordination of various services throughout several agencies. The Senior Case Manager will also be in charge of scheduling site visits and institutional presentations, supervising Community Service Coordinators (Case Managers) including accompanying them on site visits and holding weekly staff meetings, and preparing any necessary reports. Travel to community-based providers is required. Additionally, the position is responsible for hiring, evaluating, and training of STOP staff under the direction of the Director, and embracing and embodying the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.

Requirements

  • Two (2) to three (3) years case management experience.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Experience with the criminal justice population and knowledge of the culture of criminality.
  • Knowledge of the culture of criminality.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a prison clearance.
  • Must have the ability to pass a criminal history background screening.
  • Be certified or be eligible for FACT Level 1 Certification.
  • Be able to multi-task.
  • CPR Certification.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Annual Tuberculosis test.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCares vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Fresno County Credentialing.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 effective 12/08/2021 (employees with approved Medical or Religious Exemption will be required to test for the virus weekly).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
