About The Position

Krause Landscape is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager. This role will drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the high-end residential landscaping sector. The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, leading complex sales efforts, and contributing to long-term growth strategies. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in sales, maintenance contract services, or construction-related industries, with a proven ability to close large, recurring contracts. As the Senior Business Development Manager, you will lead and mentor other business development team members and provide guidance on CRM best practices and performance metrics in collaboration with operations teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within the residential landscaping industry.
  • Solid understanding of landscaping principles, services, and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and cultivate strong relationships.
  • Strong sales techniques and ability to identify and close deals and get repeat business.
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify opportunities, and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Experience using CRM software and other relevant software for business development and sales.
  • Aspire or similar landscaping software knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Preferably 5-7 years of business development experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Actively identify potential clients who could benefit from the company's services for Design and installation, maintenance, and irrigation.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and aspirations.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve company growth targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging markets to identify new opportunities.
  • Attend industry events, participate in community outreach, and build relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records of leads, clients, and sales activities.
  • Track sales performance, analyze results, and provide reports to management.
  • Lead other business development managers to develop performance metrics and provide customer insights.
  • Mentor a small team of business development team members to hit performance metrics to exceed performance objectives.
  • Work closely with the sales team, operations, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Utilize Pipedrive and Aspire software to create, track, and manage client estimates, contracts, and job scheduling.
