About The Position

Riverside Research is an independent National Security Nonprofit dedicated to research and development in the national interest. We provide high-end technical services, research and development, and prototype solutions to some of the country’s most challenging technical problems. All Riverside Research opportunities require U.S. Citizenship. Position Overview The Senior Business Administrator is responsible for performing administrative duties for the CFO, CTO and other VP Level executives as necessary, as well as supporting a variety of corporate programs. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability in proactively managing a wide range of topics, deadlines, and executive calendars. The candidate will require keen attention to detail and be results-oriented. Additionally, they must exhibit executive presence along with possessing a sense of responsibility and confidentiality to establish themselves as a trusted partner to the executive leadership team. This position offers a hybrid working arrangements, with four (4) days required onsite in our Fairfax, Virginia headquarters. Some of the duties and responsibilities may be required as identified below.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management a plus
  • 10-12 years’ experience supporting executives, preferably in a high technology company
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Excellent time management, planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interact in a professional manner with customers, board members, and our internal team.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, manage priorities and accurately set expectations.
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality on all business matters.
  • Ability to flex and expand schedule in the event of a work surge

Responsibilities

  • Manage the calendar of the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Technical Officer and Business Unit VP’s including coordinating domestic and international travel.
  • Support the Corporate Secretary by coordinating the Board of Trustees’ Meetings and requirements.
  • Ensure all Board of Trustees documents are provided to various committees and placed on the Board Shared site.
  • Prepare Financial Charts for various presentations as required
  • Coordinate the development and requirements for the corporate insurance plans
  • In conjunction with the CFO and Controller, managing the annual filings and registration processes across the organization
  • Leads the planning of various events, to include social gatherings, award programs, offsite meetings, etc.
  • Backup to the Office Manager, when necessary for various company events
  • Maintain organizational records in the Corporate Records Repository
  • Support the approval and administrative review for policies and procedures including the coordination of the Corporate Control Board (CCB)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
