About The Position

HERS Advisors has partnered with a successful Labor & Employment law firm who has an immediate need for a Sr Billing Specialist to work in their West Los Angeles, CA office (hybrid). The Sr Billing Specialist will be responsible for handling all aspects of legal billing, including generating, distributing, tracking, and editing prebills, finalizing invoices, and sending final invoices to clients, including electronic LEDES files. The department has a great reputation, and employees have long tenure with the firm!

Requirements

• 4+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm setting is required
• Proficiency in using Aderant Expert is required
• Familiarity with electronic billing formats, including LEDE files

Nice To Haves

• Experience in handling cash deposits and collections is preferred
• Knowledge of state and federal billing compliance regulations

Responsibilities

• Generate, distribute, and track prebills in a timely manner
• Review and edit prebills to ensure accuracy before finalizing invoices
• Finalize invoices using Aderant Expert software, ensuring compliance with firm billing guidelines
• Distribute finalized invoices to clients via electronic means, LEDE files, or USPS as required
• Provide support in cash deposits and assist with year-end collections.
• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to streamline billing processes and enhance efficiency.
