We are looking for a Senior Benefits Partner to lead and handle the health & welfare and wellbeing programs, administration, and communications for Ericsson U.S. This position will supervise the development, deployment, administration, and communication of the programs to support the attraction and retention of talent while supporting the business units. This individual will report to the Head of Benefits for Americas and supporting approximately 5,000+ employees and retirees in the U.S. Are you ready to imagine your possible? Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Services, or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in employee benefits with proven experience managing benefit programs for a large employer
  • Demonstrated success in the design and implementation of successful benefits and wellbeing strategies.
  • Excellent communication/people skills; ability to confidently interact with all levels of employees, including senior management.
  • Knowledge of ERISA, DOL, IRS regulations, HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125 regulations, and other health & welfare related regulations.
  • Strong ability to translate data into trends with key insights and recommendations.
  • Digital Fluency & Learning Agility: Embraces technology and innovation. Eager to expand technical capabilities and contribute to digital transformation.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) proficiency including but not limited to prompt engineering and generative AI writing, data literacy and interpretation of AI generated insights, automating routine benefits tasks through AI, AI supported scenario modeling and predictive cost forecasting, AI enhanced employee communication, and critical thinking to validate AI outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the health & welfare and wellbeing team to successfully manage and administer the company's health & welfare and wellbeing plans/programs for approximately 5,000+ employees and retirees for Ericsson U.S.
  • Work closely with broker consultants in annual renewal processes, evaluating and analyzing the renewal. Maintain relations with external consultants, insurers and vendors to ensure Ericsson receives high quality and timely service and support that is aligned with Ericsson's pension/insured benefits strategies and policies. Set appropriate performance metrics and measure vendor performance.
  • Manage annual health & welfare and wellbeing open enrollment, various phases of program implementations and integration of benefit tools.
  • Manage vendor and broker relationships, negotiating services, and managing costs.
  • Work closely with brokers and outside counsel in the U.S. to ensure plans remain in compliance, including annual 5500 filings, audits, communications, amendments, and plan documents.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal clients and external vendors to create greater efficiency, improve the delivery of services, and reduce costs.
  • Oversee U.S. COBRA administration and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Provide support and participate in any Merger/Acquisition/Divestiture activities as needed, participating in project teams developing new contracts with vendors as required.
  • Close collaboration with Sourcing, Legal, IT and Risk Management to ensure consistent management of all proposals and contracts. This generally includes development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations, and document management.
  • Together with People partners, People Function SMEs and communication colleagues proactively drive and deliver communications and guidance on our employee pension, benefits and well-being offerings to further improve employee experience.
  • Direct and oversee the daily activities of a staff of up to three, ranging from senior and junior analysts.

  • The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
  • Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
  • Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.
  • The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson matches $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson's full matching contributions. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson's Stock Purchase Plan.
  • New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
