About The Position

The Senior Benefits Analyst is responsible for the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of employee benefits and well-being programs. This role has a strong emphasis on benefits communications, leading the development and delivery of clear, engaging, and compliant messaging that drives employee understanding and participation. This role requires gaining deep expertise in benefits design, vendor management, and program implementation. The Senior Benefits Analyst will align benefits strategies with organizational goals, strengthen vendor partnerships, and deliver solutions that enhance both employee experience and operational efficiency. This position partners with HR, Finance, Corporate Communications, HRIS, and external vendors to ensure programs are competitive, cost-effective, and effectively communicated across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of experience in benefits administration, analysis, or total rewards
  • Demonstrated experience in benefits communications and employee engagement strategies
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, ADP)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into recommendations
  • Deep knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, employee-friendly messaging
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • High attention to detail, especially in content accuracy and compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with communication tools or content platforms (e.g., intranet systems, email platforms)
  • Collaborative, cross-functional mindset with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and wellness initiatives
  • Analyze benefits data and trends to provide actionable insights on plan design, utilization, and cost management
  • Partner with Finance on benefits budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive offerings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Audit benefits data and processes to ensure accuracy and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support benefits integration during mergers, acquisitions, or organizational changes
  • Lead the development and execution of benefits and well-being communication strategies across multiple channels, including email, intranet, print, webinars, video, and digital platforms
  • Create and distribute employee-facing materials (emails, guides, presentations, flyers, videos, and digital content) with strong attention to clarity, usability, and design
  • Maintain and continuously improve benefits communication platforms (e.g., intranet, HRIS portals, new hire resources, vendor-hosted content) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Well-Being, HRIS, Corporate Communications, HR Business Partners) to align messaging and reduce duplication across initiatives
  • Coordinate vendor-led communications and campaigns, ensuring alignment with internal messaging, timelines, and branding
  • Support employee communications delivered through external channels (e.g., home mailers), including vendor coordination and quality review
  • Develop and manage an annual communication calendar to align benefits and well-being messaging throughout the year
  • Track communication effectiveness using basic metrics and employee feedback to continuously improve engagement
  • Lead the communication strategy and execution for annual open enrollment, including development of materials, timelines, and employee outreach
  • Develop and distribute communications related to benefits programs, plan changes, and required disclosures for active and former employees
  • Support new hire onboarding by developing and maintaining benefits communication materials and resources
  • Ensure all communications are accurate, compliant, and reflect current plan provisions and regulatory requirements
  • Support well-being initiatives and events (e.g., health fairs, webinars, screenings) and related communications
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to promote employee participation and engagement in well-being programs
  • Align benefits and well-being messaging with broader workforce initiatives such as safety, total rewards, and employee experience
