The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is dedicated to advancing human rights and due process for immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers through direct legal services, impact litigation, advocacy, and public education. With headquarters in Chicago and offices in Washington, DC, Indiana, and San Diego, NIJC's team, comprising over 100 attorneys, paralegals, and professionals, alongside 2,000 pro bono attorneys, is at the forefront of immigration reform. Attorneys within NIJC's Asylum Project specifically represent detained and non-detained asylum seekers, particularly those facing removal. The Senior Attorney role requires individuals to work both independently and collaboratively, operating locally and nationally, while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail, clear communication, and effective time management. This position involves advocating for clients in complex cases before administrative and service agencies, leading special initiatives and inter-departmental collaborations, and supervising other attorneys, paralegals, coordinators, fellows, and interns.
