About The Position

InGenesis is currently seeking a Senior Associate Vice President of Human Resources to work with our client. In this role, you will oversee Employment, Employee Relations, Training, Compliance, Benefits, Compensation, HRIS, Employee Records, and Payroll. The position serves as the second in command to the Vice President/CFO. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute the HR Strategic Plan to support the university's overall goals. Oversee staffing, recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and professional development functions. Develop and manage HR and Payroll policies, procedures, and annual operating budgets. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Partner with General Counsel on employee relations, compliance issues, and government reporting. Recommend and manage compensation structures, performance appraisal programs, and employee benefit programs. Foster a respectful, inclusive, and ethical workplace culture built on trust and confidentiality. Oversee management training programs and HR/Payroll initiatives for faculty and staff. Direct special HR events such as benefits fairs, retirement seminars, and training workshops. Serve as acting division head in the absence of the Vice President/CFO. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible HR management experience (higher education experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Expertise across multiple HR disciplines; ability to develop new approaches to unique situations.
  • Experience with Banner, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem‑solving, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, lead projects, coordinate teams, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and staff development.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.
