That’s why our team is looking to add a Senior Associate, Physical Security Engineer. As a Physical Security Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to our team by maintaining and optimizing system configurations, performing regular system audits, and contributing to life safety initiatives. You will ensure our physical security systems are consistently aligned with industry best practices and enterprise standards, while providing Tier 2 technical support. Collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams will be essential to deliver holistic solutions that serve and safeguard our communities and facilities. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience with physical security technologies (intrusion alarms, access control, VMS) in IT environments.
  • At Least 1 years experience with networking devices, connectivity protocols: VLANs, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud technologies.
  • At least 1 year of experience in configuring and maintaining systems.
  • At least 1 year experience in providing customer-facing technical support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in physical security systems or related technologies (e.g., Certified Security Systems Technician, AWS, Network+).
  • At least 1 year experience with network/ firewall technology and Cisco switching and routing
  • At least 1 year experience in providing technical support for physical security alarm, video surveillance, and access control systems in a robust IT environment.
  • At least 1 year with scripting or automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Google Apps Script) to streamline processes.
  • At Least 1 year Experience conducting training sessions and user demonstrations to promote technology adoption.
  • At least 1 year experience with quality assurance, auditing processes, and risk management methodologies

Responsibilities

  • System Configuration & Management : Maintain and update physical security system configurations using defined procedures to align with enterprise standards and ensure system integrity.
  • Documentation & Compliance : Produce and maintain accurate, current documentation for configurations, and procedures. Conduct audits to ensure systems meet enterprise security requirements and compliance standards.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting : Provide comprehensive technical support, serving as a Tier 2 escalation point, diagnosing system faults, performing root-cause analysis, and coordinating Tier 3 and vendor support when needed.
  • Testing & Reporting : Collaborate with Senior Engineers to implement process optimizations and resolve technical challenges, ensuring minimal downtime. Document quality assurance measures that support incident response strategies.
  • Field Engagement & Training : Travel to new sites for security technology commissioning, and to deliver end-user training on security equipment.
