About The Position

The Senior Associate, Marketing Specialist, plays a key role in developing consumer insights based on data, collaborates in developing guides for market research, and supports the development of creative messaging, you will work collaboratively with other departments to identify opportunities and challenges for promoting the DFW brand and improving its reputation among customers and stakeholders. Under the general direction of the Senior Marketing Strategy Manager, the Marketing Specialist leads the implementation of marketing tactics and DFW Airport Brand that assist the Airport in achieving its key results related to marketing and advertising campaigns and market development programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience with an emphasis on marketing.
  • Two (2) years of marketing or brand management experience (agency or client-side).
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of marketing, marketing strategy and communications.
  • Great interpersonal skills to diplomatically interface with internal and external partners and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn brand management, marketing and communications principles.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn to manage and direct projects from inception to completion.
  • Skilled in working effectively with various levels to provide influence.
  • Effective skills in organization, attention to detail, and project management.
  • Ability to take initiative and effectively handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment, initiative, independent action and versatility while embracing challenging and diverse assignments.
  • Ability to monitor and communicate costs related to marketing activities.
  • Ability to take on challenges and suggest innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates coordination and works with Internal DFW Departments to develop marketing strategies and communications to ensure Airport’s key results are achieved.
  • Drafts creative briefs, collaborates in the development of marketing plans and presentations and writes detailed meeting recaps.
  • Manages and implements initiatives to achieve marketing priorities across all owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Procures and analyzes data, identifies marketing needs and makes independent decisions on project deliverables, media recommendations and budget.
  • Owns day-to-day relationship with external partners and executes integrated marketing campaigns, including traditional and digital advertising, social media, print, video, events, and executive presentations.
  • Provides DFW Airport brand leadership across brand implementation, reviewing branded materials and providing brand approvals.
  • Benchmarks, researches and analyzes effectiveness of Airport’s marketing and communications efforts by staying informed of leading marketing trends and issues.
  • Monitors and reconciles programs/procedures in the areas of brand reputation, customer experience, airline relations, sustainability, innovation, digital transformation, and parking products.
  • Collaborates with other departments to identify opportunities and challenges for DFW’s brand and reputation.
  • Generates, analyzes, reconciles and updates various marketing reports, including campaign performance and agency time management.
  • Analyzes and reconciles the Marketing budget and processes payments for Marketing related functions.
  • Performs other duties and projects as requested to further the Airport’s key results
