About The Position

Whether you are involved in negotiating contracts, managing vendors, or forecasting requirements, your role is crucial in making sure that our medicines reach the people who need them most, faster and more efficiently than ever. By streamlining procurement activities, you help maintain the flow of production and innovation, making a significant impact on the availability of life-saving medications to patients worldwide. What You Will Achieve In this role, you will: Manage and develop supplier relationships across assigned categories, ensuring risk management and compliance with legislation and company policies. Identify and implement improvements in Procurement processes, tools, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and proactive engagement. Support complex local sourcing initiatives, including spot buying, and manage contract approvals in collaboration with the Pfizer Legal Department. Plan and coordinate inventory management for all materials, ensuring quality requirements are met in collaboration with the quality control team. Act as the site coordinator and liaison between client groups, suppliers, sourcing teams, and other stakeholders, resolving service-related issues. Monitor and follow the performance of main suppliers in relation to internal customers, ensuring supply channels conform to quality standards. Lead local and regional client relationship management with senior stakeholders, developing impactful short- and long-term solutions for customers. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other regulatory requirements, reviewing deviations and identifying corrective actions. Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP), contributing to moderately complex projects and managing time to meet targets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience or associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience or BA/BS with 2+ years of experience or MBA/MS with any years of relevant experience
  • An excellent understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, including experience in Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Strong business systems knowledge
