As a Senior Associate - Consultant with EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution – Deal Finance practice, you will be a key team member supporting and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, focusing on the CFO agenda and the Finance function. You'll assist with the execution of projects across sectors, collaborating with client service teams to develop and execute transaction strategies. Part of your role will also involve developing experience across different types of engagements, ranging from pre-deal operational planning to post-deal integration or separation planning, execution, and tracking, and having a strong commercial mind-set.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
  • Prior experience in consulting, Corporate Finance, or M&A advisory.
  • Practical knowledge of and experience in the Finance function.
  • Management consulting experience.
  • Experience in one or more of Finance areas (e.g., accounting, financial reporting, planning and budgeting, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, etc.).
  • Knowledge of or experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Cognos and/or other common systems.
  • Experience in financial process benchmarking, operating model, finance organization design, synergies, transition service agreements (TSA).
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot.
  • You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position.
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions role or another large professional services organization.
  • Additional 6 to 12 months of industry experience.

Benefits

  • The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $130,000 to $185,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
  • In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
