EY Parthenon - Strategy and Execution - Software Strategy Group (Managing Director) (Multiple Positions) (1678127), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY. Provide investment and acquisition guidance (including commercial, product, and technology diligence), strategy, value creation, and transaction advisory services to companies and investors in the Software Economy. Oversee primary and secondary research, synthesize and analyze data, build and test hypotheses, and deliver strategic advice to our clients to help them make informed decisions. Develop the models, industry contacts, benchmarks and methods designed for the Software Economy. Act as the primary client contact, with responsibility for translating client needs into project tasks and deliverables. Oversee day-to-day problem-solving and team analytical activities. Define the objective and scope of strategy engagements and client deliverables. Lead teams in the execution of both due diligence and value creation engagements. Oversee product and technology assessments and develop executive-level communications regarding findings, recommendations, and value creation levers. Lead pursuit activities including go to market activities and managed revenue with current clients as well as pipeline engagements. Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 10 years of experience (5 of which are progressive post-baccalaureate experience.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus 8 years of related work experience.
  • Must have 7 years of experience working with one or a combination of the following: a multi-national or large-size technology strategy consulting firm, a technology strategy consulting practice group within a multi-national or large-size firm, and/or a multi-national or large-size technology company in a product or R&D role.
  • Must have 8 years of quantitative experience supervising data analysis, interpreting output and generating insights for external or internal stakeholders.
  • Must have 8 years of experience making detailed assessments of the software industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Must have 5 years of experience in due diligence or value creation engagements for one or a combination of the software sectors: Horizontal Application Software, Healthcare Software, Financial Software, Infrastructure Software, and/or Vertical Market Software.
  • Must have 6 years of experience fostering client relationships, including maintaining contact with client decision makers.
  • Must have 6 years of experience in project management and in supervising teams comprised of 5 or more team members.
  • Must have 6 years of experience authoring, editing and presenting communications regarding findings, recommendations, and value creation levers.
  • Must have 6 years of experience providing thought leadership in the forms of customers presentations, public speaking, and content writing for blogs and case studies.
  • Requires travel up to 25%, of which 5% may be international, to serve client needs.
