Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Clinical Ethics team in the role of Assistant-Administrative Senior. The Senior Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative and technical support to departmental leaders and teams across IU Health. Operating with minimal supervision, this role manages complex workflows and supports departmental or enterprise-level initiatives, including coordination, tracking, and reporting across multiple stakeholders. The role also mentors junior and intermediate administrative staff by supporting onboarding, training, and professional development. Responsibilities include preparing high-quality presentations, reports, and correspondence for internal and external audiences, as well as serving as a liaison between leadership, staff, and external partners to ensure timely communication and follow-up. The Senior Administrative Assistant may support clinical care coordination by assisting with appointment scheduling, documentation, and communication with patients and care teams. In collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders, this role contributes to efficient clinical workflows by ensuring accurate and timely administrative support for patient care operations. The position may also participate in workflow optimization initiatives and collaborate with leadership to identify and implement opportunities for improved clinical and operational efficiency. Key Relationships Reports to : Vice President-Clinical and Organizational Ethics Candidate Qualifications High School Diploma/GED is required. Requires 4-6 years of relevant administrative experience in a healthcare or complex organizational setting. Requires experience supporting senior leaders and managing sensitive information. Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is a plus. Requires advanced proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Requires proficiency in EMR and medical terminology for clinical care focused positions.
