About The Position
Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an opening for a Senior Asphalt Pavement Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona. The Asphalt Pavement Engineer will perform the following job duties:
Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- M.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis or concentration in pavements
- Active Civil Engineering PE license
- 10+ years of pavement engineering experience
- Strong background in civil engineering principles
- Experience performing pavement design, forensic evaluations, mix designs, and related tasks
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and solid work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with construction and paving activities (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform pavement design and subgrade thickness evaluations
- Develop and manage pavement management systems
- Conduct forensic evaluations of pavement failures
- Write engineering analyses and technical reports
- Create asphalt mix designs and evaluate pavement materials
- Review laboratory reports and pavement specifications for roadways, highways, parking lots, and airports
- Mentor and train junior engineering staff
- Provide leadership and maintain strong client relationships
- Support marketing and business development activities
- Review and provide direction on engineering work products
- Prepare, review, and sign pavement proposals and reports
