About The Position

Senior and Expert Wire Design Engineer (Senior and Expert) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is looking for Senior and Expert Wire Design Engineers to join our team in Tukwila, WA. Boeing Defense Space & Security USAF E7A. This role is responsible for designing wire harnesses and integrating their design with multiple other teams. Position Responsibilities: Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets. Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities. Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection. Analyzes functional and physical input to ensure development of complete integrated design. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 9+ years of wire design experience
  • 5+ years of experience on aerospace programs

Nice To Haves

  • 14 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience with WIRS and CADDStation
  • 7+ years of experience on Commercial Airplanes or Commercial Derivatives
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Capital wire design tool
