Senior Analyst, CCB Strategic Insights
About The Position
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy Senior Analyst to join our Commercial Banking Business Analytics team in our Canada office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy-someone who is passionate about uncovering insights that drive business decisions and has deep experience in banking products and client behavior. You'll work closely with senior business leaders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategy across sales, pricing, profitability, and client engagement.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in analytics, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of banking products, client segmentation, and business strategy.
- Proficient in SQL and Python (or other programming languages with a willingness to learn Python).
- Ability to distill complex data into simple, compelling insights.
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
- Curious, proactive, and impact-driven.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Insight Generation & Strategic Analysis
- Partner with Commercial Banking business leaders to identify opportunities and deliver impactful insights.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on banking products, client behavior, and performance trends.
- Develop executive-ready presentations that translate data into strategic recommendations.
- Technical Excellence
- Use SQL and Python (or similar programming languages) to extract, analyze, and visualize data.
- Build scalable analytical solutions and automate recurring processes.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Manager and analytics team to improve data workflows and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, finance, and strategy teams to align analytics with business priorities.
- Serve as a thought partner to stakeholders, helping them interpret data and make informed decisions.
