Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 10 years of experience in administrative roles.
  • 10 years of experience using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with database testing, including data conversion testing, for at least 1 year.
  • 2 years of experience using CXone.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze information and provide clear, accurate, and timely guidance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in childcare grant funding programs within Alberta is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Childcare Licensing Portal and Child Care Information System is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, evaluate, and determine eligibility for grant funding across licensed childcare programs, ensuring compliance with financial legislation and policy guidelines.
  • Advise stakeholders on funding conditions, required corrective actions, and eligibility outcomes.
  • Identify payment or service delivery issues and recommend effective solutions to management.
  • Provide customer service and guidance to childcare operators, educators, and families regarding funding policies and processes.
  • Support users in navigating digital systems, including completing and submitting grant agreements.
  • Review submitted documentation and financial data to validate eligibility and prepare recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry, tracking, and reporting of funding assessments and expenditures.
  • Manage shared inboxes, responding to inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Generate reports and contribute to financial analysis, program operations, and strategic planning.
  • Interpret policies and provide guidance to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Research program improvements, analyze comparable programs, and contribute to policy development and enhancements.
  • Support system improvements and participate in testing and implementation of new platforms.
  • Handle complaints by assessing issues, gathering information, and supporting resolution processes.
  • Provide training to new team members and delegate tasks when required.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and positive team environment.

Benefits

  • Hourly salary of $35 -40, based on experience.
  • 12 -month contract with a maximum extension term of 12 months.
  • Full -time position: 36.25 hours per week.
