About The Position

Responsible for secretarial duties associated within the IT Department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Previous office experience desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with parents, staff and students.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts appropriate to the position.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with job related computer hardware and software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a Windows computer and related software including: Microsoft Office, Google Docs & Sheets, financial systems such as Munis, and others as required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve dynamic problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community.
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of district requirements and Board of Education Policies.
  • Typing and word processing; filing, stenography desirable; good telephone techniques; general office skills; adaptability; operation of office machines; accuracy; good public relations skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with supervisor, technical, and professional staff to prepare, operate and disperse budgets district-wide for technology services.
  • Maintain records of budget transactions for and computer services and reconcile budget expenditures and balances daily.
  • Facilitate technology equipment procurement and software purchasing for departments district-wide.
  • Work with supervisor, BOE technical staff, computer leasing vendors, and computer deployment vendors to execute school district leasing of computers and other technology equipment.
  • Compilation of equipment specifications and transmission to vendors
  • Calculating projected leasing costs and budget related impacts
  • Calculating deployment costs and budget related impacts
  • Creating a time table and related documentation for deployment
  • Compilation of deployment specifications and transmission to vendors
  • Work cooperatively with business office staff, school personnel and vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain and process personnel attendance records and time sheets.
  • Work with warehouse staff to facilitate the intake, movement, and disposal of technology equipment..
  • Verify and document deliveries to the BOE and schools with regular follow up to vendors and school staff as necessary.
  • Organize and process shipments to schools.
  • Assist in maintaining databases of districtwide AV and computer equipment.
  • Maintain database of districtwide computer software.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Coordinate repair and service requests from schools and teachers with contracted vendors and technical staff members.
  • Assist staff with equipment specifications and technology needs.
  • Respond to inquiries from staff and the public.
  • Assist staff in accessing the Technology Center services.
  • Operate office technology and printers.
  • Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
