About The Position

UMW has an exciting internal opportunity for current employees to grow your
career as a Senior Accounts Receivable Tech. In this role, you will
independently manage the miscellaneous A/R and Student Account third-party
invoicing processes, including collection of funds. Accurately maintain VMSDEP
student list and associated tuition waivers. Assist in the Student Accounts
Office to ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounts receivable transactions.
Provide excellent customer service across all levels of responsibility.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of accounting and general business practices including knowledge of AR policies and procedures.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent computer skills including those of computerized accounting systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to analyze and assist in preparation of financial reports and documents.
• Experience working in business office.
• Experience with accounts receivable and general accounting principles.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's degree in accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
• Knowledge and prior experience with Ellucian Banner, and prior Customer Service experience.
