About The Position

This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. JOB OVERVIEW: As Senior Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the daily primary accounting tasks of the Brand. You will directly manage AP and AR staff and oversee Customer Experience Agents in the collections process. As an essential member of the finance team you will report directly to our CFO. You will be part of a very collaborative, very agile team working collectively to fulfill our mission to Save our Communities from Unscrupulous Contractors! Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of related accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP and consolidation/reporting systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize to manage conflicting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • High comfort level working in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable functions through leadership of Specialist team.
  • Assist in making employment decisions
  • Provide adequate, ongoing training to ensure success
  • Communicate clearly and often with you team to establish expectations and create awareness of progress to goals
  • Build processes and policies to ensure compliance, improve efficiency, and limit risk.
  • Oversee Market Specialist team in their Collections efforts, improving payables and account aging.
  • Perform daily accounting functions, including cash reconciliation, invoicing, job costing, commissions processing, and more.
  • Responsible for month-end close activities in conjunction with the CFO
  • Be a key business partner to the Marketing Specialist team in streamlining operations and improving outcomes.
  • Assist with the management enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Partner with Finance team to provide feedback and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure proper internal control procedures are in place and operating effectively for financial statement close activities.
  • Execute departmental strategies in support of Brand vision.
  • Support financial and tax compliance audits where necessary.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
