We’re hiring a Staff Accountant to join our team at Flynn Hospitality’s corporate offices in Las Colinas, TX. As a member of our corporate finance and accounting team, you’ll be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and full cycle accounting and finance services, including treasury, tax, accounts payable, budget and forecasting, licensing, payroll, etc. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and partnerships across all business units, emphasizing Finance and Accounting functions within the company and its capacity to serve as a productive strategic partner. Keeps informed and up to date on Company policies and practices relating to the functions of Finance and Accounting to meet compliance standards in the execution of administrative details.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in a similar role with growing responsibilities.
  • Skills: Strong communication, team leadership, and problem-solving
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and Accounting based programs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Financial Records – Recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing ledgers.
  • Monitors and prepares financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Development and monitoring or budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare documentation for and support any audit requests.
  • Responds to calls for the department from both hotels and external sources professionally, working closely with the department team on identifying effective solutions.
  • Maintains department files and records.
  • Ensure all financial activities adhere to GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Creates and develops visual presentations for the department, including charts, tables, graphs and business plans.
