Requirements

  • Strong and proven experience with journal entries, cash/bank reconciliations, and month-end close required (3+ years)
  • 1+ year in a Senior Accountant position
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare or long-term care industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics Great Plains or Workday and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insights
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, month-end close, and cash/bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as directed by the CFO or senior management team
