About The Position

The Senior Accountant is a hands-on role supporting a high-accountability, multi-entity month-end close in NetSuite. This position owns key balance sheet reconciliations, prepares and posts journal entries, supports cash/treasury and payroll accounting, and improves close processes, controls, and reporting quality. The ideal candidate operates well in ambiguity, finds root causes quickly, and drives issues to resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Strong GAAP foundation and close process understanding
  • NetSuite proficiency required
  • Advanced Excel required, Power BI preferred
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close ownership/support
  • Strong NetSuite experience (hands-on: JEs, recs, reports/saved searches, close tasks)
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, Power Query; audit-ready schedules)

  • Service / healthcare / professional services background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare/post journal entries with complete support and clear documentation.
  • Own assigned close areas and complete reconciliations on time (cash, prepaid, accruals, intercompany, payroll-related liabilities, other key accounts).
  • Prepare flux/variance explanations and support management reporting packages.
  • Support bank reconciliations and cash activity reviews; assist with cash forecast inputs and payment tracking.
  • Support payment controls (documentation, approvals, audit trail).
  • Support payroll accruals and reconciliations; tie payroll registers to GL and reconcile payroll liability accounts.
  • Support revenue recognition activities and related reconciliations (billing tie-outs, deferred revenue/contract liabilities where applicable).
  • Identify recurring issues and drive fixes (coding, workflow, process, system), not workarounds.
  • Improve close checklists, reconciliation templates, documentation standards, and control evidence.
  • Support audit/tax requests with organized, audit-ready schedules.
