Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and at least 2 years of accounting experience in a corporation with multiple locations.
  • Must have Excel skills, self-direction, and the ability to work with individuals at every level in the organization.
  • Detailed oriented, knowledgeable, and able to work independently and within a team.
  • Must have knowledge in GAAP and excellent communication skills.
  • Exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations.
  • You demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, guests & colleagues.
  • You have a structured work-approach, understand complex problems and you are able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements reports. Performs additional analysis for explanatory text required for reports and statement.
  • Train and review the work of lower-level employees.
  • Coordinate preparation of monthly financial package and reviews for accuracy.
  • Maintain general ledger by gathering and posting entries, reviewing all entries made, reconciling accounts or coordinating the reconciliation of accounts to the general ledger.
  • Coordinate monthly general ledger closing.
  • Reconcile 95% general ledger balance sheet.
  • Ensure maintenance and application of internal controls.
  • Assist and review accounting for subsidiary operations performed by accounting staff.
  • Participate in monthly financial meetings for discussion and review of monthly financial reports.
  • Provide guidance to other Finance personnel for proper internal and external financial accounting procedures and their application.
  • Assist in employee evaluation process, counsel employees and effectively recommend initial discipline and other personnel decisions.
  • Provide input into goal setting for the department.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Perform internal audits of accounts payable, payroll distribution, fixed assets and cash.
