Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and at least 2 years of accounting experience in a corporation with multiple locations.
Must have Excel skills, self-direction, and the ability to work with individuals at every level in the organization.
Detailed oriented, knowledgeable, and able to work independently and within a team.
Must have knowledge in GAAP and excellent communication skills.
Exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations.
You demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, guests & colleagues.
You have a structured work-approach, understand complex problems and you are able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze financial data and prepares monthly combined financial statements reports. Performs additional analysis for explanatory text required for reports and statement.
Train and review the work of lower-level employees.
Coordinate preparation of monthly financial package and reviews for accuracy.
Maintain general ledger by gathering and posting entries, reviewing all entries made, reconciling accounts or coordinating the reconciliation of accounts to the general ledger.
Coordinate monthly general ledger closing.
Reconcile 95% general ledger balance sheet.
Ensure maintenance and application of internal controls.
Assist and review accounting for subsidiary operations performed by accounting staff.
Participate in monthly financial meetings for discussion and review of monthly financial reports.
Provide guidance to other Finance personnel for proper internal and external financial accounting procedures and their application.
Assist in employee evaluation process, counsel employees and effectively recommend initial discipline and other personnel decisions.
Provide input into goal setting for the department.
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
Perform internal audits of accounts payable, payroll distribution, fixed assets and cash.
