About The Position

CGS (Computer Generated Solutions Inc.) is a global tech. company located in the premier downtown Manhattan location; Brookfield Place. We offer a variety of technology solutions including Fashion Technology, Managed Services, BPO, Learning Solutions, etc. CGS has offices throughout the US, Canada, Chile, Colombia, UK, Israel, Romania and India. We have a new opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in our growing organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2+ years experience working at a large CPA firm.
2+ years of hands on Accounting experience in a corporate environment.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
Must have experience managing the month/year end closing process.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Experience with financial reporting and financial analysis.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Assist in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
Help in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Assist in ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Assist with financial audits.
Help in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies.
Provide support to the Controller and other members of the finance team as needed.
