About The Position

NavVis is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to take ownership of core accounting processes for the U.S. entity while collaborating closely with global finance peers. This role will lead month-end close activities, manage revenue recognition and intercompany accounting, oversee tax compliance, ensure strong accounts receivable discipline, and strengthen internal controls. The Senior Accountant will also prepare to train and supervise future junior accounting team members as the organization scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close ownership
  • Experience with revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting
  • 2+ years of multi-state sales and use tax experience
  • Experience managing AR processes and customer collections
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook required; SAP Concur and MS Dynamics 365 F&O preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across global teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute monthly and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, deferrals, and reconciliations
  • Own general ledger integrity and perform complex account reconciliations (bank, AR, AP, prepaid, accrual, intercompany)
  • Manage revenue recognition for hardware, SaaS, and service contracts, including deferred revenue tracking
  • Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and billing with global group entities
  • Oversee accounts receivable process, including customer billing accuracy, aging analysis, and proactive follow-up on outstanding balances
  • Partner with Sales and management to resolve payment disputes and support cash collection efforts
  • Oversee AP accounting accuracy and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Review, correct, and approve expense reports in SAP Concur
  • Calculate, file, and pay multi-state sales and use tax; monitor and respond to tax authority communications
  • Prepare annual 1099 filings and maintain vendor records
  • Support external audits and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
  • Train, mentor, and review work of future junior accounting staff as the team expands
