About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the accounting function in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is primarily responsible for fixed asset accounting, inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting support. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, supporting month-end close, and partnering with operations to ensure proper inventory valuation and cost controls. This position requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3–6 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in manufacturing accounting strongly preferred
Experience with inventory accounting and fixed asset management required
Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly related to inventory and fixed assets
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
ERP experience required (Odoo a plus)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations related to inventory, cost of goods sold, fixed assets, absorption, labor and overhead.
Manage fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and roll-forward schedules
Maintain fixed asset subledger and ensure compliance with capitalization policies
Support inventory accounting processes, including standard costing and inventory valuation
Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances and assist in investigating discrepancies
Assist with inventory reserves, excess and obsolete analysis
Reconcile inventory subledger to general ledger
Assist in monthly and annual financial close processes
Prepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
Support ERP system enhancements related to inventory and fixed assets
